J2A Pilgrimage - 2006 - A Time of Discovery

On August 7, 2006, a group of eight youths and four adults boarded a plane at O'Hare airport bound for Boston.  Their J2A Pilgrimage had begun!  The photos below will provide a "sneak preview" of the presentation that the teenagers will be giving at the Adult Education forum at 9:30 a.m., September 24.  Come and discover the answers behind these mysterious scenes.

  • O'Hare Airport. The Pilgrimage has begun!

What is an Episcopal monk and what is his lifestyle like?

Who are the two women in this photo?

Why is this baseball player wearing goggles?

How did these two guys become such good friends?

What non-human feet have also walked on the sands of this beach in Cape Ann?

What came so close to our boat you could almost reach out and touch it?

Can you guess what kind of building these decorations are in?

Who was Sarah Good and why was she hanged?

This wreath reads "Now Friends, Once Foes." What is the meaning behind these words?

When you look up into the sky, this is what you see. What is it?

Why are these pilgrims touching the toe on this statue?

What is the name of this river?

Back at Logan Airport at the end of the Pilgrimage. What do you think this exhausted youth is dreaming of?
