Education for All Ages
At St. Augustine’s we consider Christian Formation a life-long process of striving to grow in our knowledge and love of God. It is education about our Christian faith and traditions, as well as those things that nurture our spiritual lives, like prayer, liturgy, and rich conversations that deepen our understanding of what it means to be a Christian today.
Our Christian Formation hour, at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays, offers learning opportunities for all ages:
- A vibrant Church School program with 45-minute classes beginning at preschool age. Church School starts promptly at 9:15 a.m. Coffee for parents is available in Puhlman Hall between 9:15 and 9:30.
- The Journey to Adulthood groups for young people in 6th through 12th grades. See the Youth Education pages for meeting time and locations.
- An Adult Education program beginning at 10:45 a.m. We have an exciting lineup of speakers and discussions for adults on a variety of themes, including "Books Christians Ought to be Reading".
A Safe Place for Everyone
We take very seriously our responsibility to provide a safe place for everyone to grow and learn. Every individual who works with our children and youth is required to attend the Episcopal Church’s training on Keeping God’s People Safe. If you have any questions about this program, please feel free to ask the Rector or the Director of Christian Education.
