May 2: George Bond: Buddhism and Social Action

Professor George Bond, Chair of the Religious Studies Dept. at Northwestern Univ. will lead a discussion on how Buddhists' understanding of neighborliness leads them to undertake social action.  Mr. Bond's teaching and research focuses on Buddhism, Hinduism and the history of religions.  He has published widely on Buddhism in South Asia and has been a recipient of the Charles Deering McCormick Professorship of Teaching Excellence.
