Pastoral Care

St. Augustine's clergy and volunteers are committed to supporting and nurturing parishioners and their family members who are ill or who are experiencing a difficult time in their lives. In addition to regular visits by the clergy, here are some of the ways that we care for one another:

Good Samaritans deliver meals to parishioners coping with illness or family emergencies, or after a newborn baby arrives. They can also provide rides to the hospital or doctor's office if needed.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers take the consecrated bread and wine directly from the Sunday service to parishioners who are hospitalized. They are sent by the community gathered around the altar because "we who are many are one Body, because we share one Bread and one Cup."

Pastoral Care Visitors keep homebound parishioners connected to the parish by making regular visits to those who are unable to attend services because of long-term illnesses, disability, age, or other restrictions.

Please contact the church office to let us know of hospitalizations or other needs, or if you would like to put the name of a loved one on our prayer list.
