PRIVACY POLICY - ST. AUGUSTINE'S WEBSITE

1. General. This Privacy Policy explains why we collect particular information and how we protect your personal privacy within our Website. We collect two categories of information from users of the Site. (a ) information voluntarily submitted (b) information gathered by electronic means.

2. Information Voluntarily Submitted. You can visit our Website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information. If you voluntarily submit inquiries or registration information, that may include your name, street address, phone, fax and email address.. We use this personal information only for the purposes for which you originally furnished it.. Unless required by law, we do not share such information with any other organization or individual. This information is used only by Staff and others who have a need to know. We never rent or sell lists of names.

3. Information Gathered by Electronic Means. These are anonymous data about the use of the Site. We automatically collect the following from all Site users: IP addresses, browser types, domain names, access times, time staying on the site, pages and sections visited. We may use these aggregate data to administer the site and deliver better, more responsive content. There are no personal data collected in this manner.

4. Cookies. In some parts of the Site we may use cookies, which are bits of information stored on the computer of visitors to the Site. These are used to make your access and use of the Site easier. You can remove the cookies, but please note that then some parts of the Site may not function properly.

5. Links to Other Websites. Our Site contains links to other websites. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their data collection and use practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies, as they may differ from ours.

6. Protecting our Parishioners' Privacy. Parishioners' names, street addresses, phones, faxes and email addresses are not accessible through the Site. Biographical data and identified photos are only posted for staff members. We also post a limited number of parishioner names where their functions dictate. These are Wardens, Vestry members and individuals who are contact persons for particular committees within the church. All telephone and email contacts with such persons are made through the church office.

7. Our Website tells the St Augustine's story through words and pictures. We do not identify any individuals in the pictures. Parents are required to give permission annually for their child's picture to appear on the Site.

8. Changes to this Policy. From time to time we may change this Policy to reflect new conditions or technology. We will notify users by posting notice of the changes on the Site.
