We welcome and encourage children to be a part of our worship and believe participation in the liturgy from an early age is the best way to shape children in the patterns of Christian faith. We also believe that children have unique spiritual needs, and we look for opportunities to help children explore their relationship with God. To that end, during the preaching, children who wish to do so gather in a room just outside of the main church for an age-appropriate time of reflection on the day's readings from the Bible, usually the gospel story, led by two adult and youth leaders. Children stay in church through the gospel reading, then follow the gospel book for Children's Chapel, returning at the Peace for the rest of the celebration.
