At St. Augustine’s we know stewardship goes beyond pledging money, and our annual giving campaign is no different. This year we want to provide the opportunity for the whole parish to receive the gift of each other’s sacred stories that reach the heart of why St. A’s deeply matters—now and in the future.

Beginning in October, we will host intentional conversations in small groups so we can share how St. A’s has been transformative in our own lives and explore ways our church can grow to even better serve each other, God, and our neighbors. These conversations are a critical first step for cultivating our shared sense of purpose and hope for the future as reflected in our ministries. They are also critical to determining our long-term financial needs and if a capital campaign would empower St. A’s to live out our mission more fully.

To put it simply, we invite every parishioner to participate in three ways:

1. To GIVE generously to our annual giving campaign to support St. A’s day-to-day ministries.

2. To RECEIVE the gift of one another’s stories and experiences by participating in a small group conversation that lets us listen for how the Spirit is drawing our community together and forward

3. To cultivate our shared sense of purpose and hope for the future so that St. A’s continues to GROW in our love for one another, God, and our neighbors.

Stewardship is not only what we pledge, but what we do. It’s how we care for each other, our neighbors and communities, and all living things with which we share God’s creation. Stewardship is reflected in how each one of us chooses to walk in the world. It is also reflected in how we choose to walk together, united by a common sense of mission and ministry. This definition of stewardship is the center of our campaign.

As Jesus charged us, let us go and be good stewards of our resources, our conversations, and our relationships. When we grow together in relationship, we grow together in mission.
